Specialized Road Bike
So you’ve decided to start biking. Let me tell you, you won’t regret it. It’s not only a good way to get and stay fit but it’s also an extremely healthy way to just plain have fun. The thing you will need to consider is what kind of bike you want to ride. I personally bought a Specialized road bike for a number of reasons.
One of the reasons is their bikes can be customized to meet your needs and specific desires as opposed to brands that you can buy at a local department or hardware store. Specialized bikes have specific parts and components that you can exchange for different one performing the same purpose, that match more perfectly your style of biking. Another thing they have is lighter parts for better speed and some of their parts can give you better control.
Mike Sinyard started Specialized Bikes in 1974 and introduced to the world the first production mountain bike in 1981. Since then Specialized has kept growing from one strength to another. Some of their road bike line includes, the Allez, Roubaix and Tarmac to name some.
In 2010 a Specialized bike won the Tour De France and they are fresh off another tremendously successful Tour this year though no yellow jersey. Their bikes are respected as high as any in this sport. But they are not only about their top of the line carbon bikes. They also have huge popularity with their lower lines as well like the Allez. This is because they are just as well constructed only built with not as expensive parts and when you consider the money they cost they are a great deal. So the company thinks about the recreational rider as well with these lines.
Their Tarmac line of road bikes is at the top of their lines. In this line they took all that they’ve learned from their heritage of racing and then upped it a notch. It is made with their own “FACT” carbon fiber components. This includes a carbon frame which is impressively stiff yet extremely light weight. It gives a lively ride yet is still very comfortable. Not only that but it saves you from getting excessively fatigued.
Another thing you get from the FACT 8r carbon frame is consistency and predictability. You know precisely how it will behave at every turn, whether it’s climbing, descending or speeding along the flats. There will never be any question of how it will perform as a result of its construction.
The frame and forks made with their light carbon fiber both give you a lateral stiffness yet without you experiencing a jolting ride even at slow speeds. It really feels very comfortable and solid, while still giving you that sense of the road beneath you.
Biking on a Specialized road bike whether out on country roads on the city streets can be a truly pleasurable experience. It doesn’t matter whether you are cycling alone or with your family or as a group. You get to enjoy the outdoors and get some needed exercise all at the same time.
In my opinion all these should be good enough reasons for you to check out a Specialized for your next bike.
